The short version: ParenTeacher is free, the packs it makes are yours to print and use however you like, we take no payment for any of it, and you can delete everything we hold with two clicks. The rest of this page is the same thing said carefully.
These terms are the agreement between you — the adult using ParenTeacher, whether you are a parent, a carer, a grandparent or a teacher — and SATAXI Labs, Inc., which operates ParenTeacher. They apply from the moment you first use the service, including the packs you can build before you have given us an address.
ParenTeacher is operated by SATAXI Labs, Inc., a corporation incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States (“we”, “us” or “our”).
Our correspondence address is 1111B South Governors Avenue, Suite 54009, Dover, DE 19904, United States.
You can contact us at support@parenteacher.app.
The service is for adults. A child never has an account here and is never asked to sign in; the packs are built for a child, but they are given to you to print and hand over. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or a teacher.
You tell us what your child is stuck on. We build two documents: a pack for the child to work through, and a briefing for you that explains the topic, the misconception behind the sticking point, and what to say when they get one wrong. Both are printable PDFs. That is the whole product.
Every number, answer and puzzle in a pack is checked by a program before it reaches you: answers are recomputed, the logic puzzle is solved by exhaustive search to prove it has exactly one solution, and a pack that fails any of those checks is rebuilt rather than sent. This is a real and unusual guarantee, and it is worth being precise about what it is not. It does not promise that a pack matches your school’s scheme of work, that the topic we picked is the one your child’s teacher would have picked, or that the pack is pitched at exactly the right level on the first try. It promises the maths inside it is right.
ParenTeacher is not a tutor, not an assessment, and not a diagnosis. It cannot tell you whether your child has a learning difficulty, and nothing it produces should be used in place of talking to their teacher or to a specialist.
ParenTeacher is in beta. Features change, pages move, and something you used last week may work differently this week. We may add limits, change how many packs an account gets, or take a feature away.
What will not change without warning is your ability to get your work out. The export button gives you a single file containing everything held about your account, including the packs, and it will keep working for as long as the service does. If we ever close the service, we will say so on this page and by email to anyone who has given us an address, and we will leave the export working for at least 30 days after that notice.
You can build 2 packs without giving us anything at all — no email address, no name, no card. We call that the guest period. During it you are identified only by a cookie in your browser, which means two things worth understanding before you rely on it.
First, your work is tied to that browser. Clearing your cookies, switching to your phone or opening a private window loses it, and because we have no address for you there is no way for us to give it back — we cannot tell it was you. Second, a guest account that nobody comes back to is deleted after 30 days of inactivity — that is, without a new ask or a new pack — along with the packs built in it. Both of those are the direct cost of us not asking who you are, and putting an email address to the account is what fixes them: everything you have already built comes with you.
An account is one email address. To sign in you ask for a link, we email it, and following it signs you in — there is no password to forget. The link lasts 15 minutes and works once; after that it is dead, including for anybody who finds it in a forwarded message. A signed-in session lasts 30 days.
The link is the key to your account, so treat a ParenTeacher email the way you would treat a password reset: do not forward it. You are responsible for what is done through your account, and for keeping the address you sign in with under your own control.
You can delete your account at any time, in the app, without asking us. It is immediate and it is not recoverable.
Nothing. ParenTeacher takes no payment during the beta: no card is asked for, no card details reach this service, and there is no subscription to cancel. If you see a plan named Family with a monthly price beside it, that is what it is expected to cost if it is ever sold, and choosing it today takes no money and creates no obligation on either side.
A free account gets 1 pack a month. That limit is real and it is enforced — it is what stops the cost of running this outgrowing the person paying for it — but running out of packs costs you nothing and charges you nothing. It simply means waiting for next month.
There may be a link inviting you to leave a tip. If there is, please read it the way it is meant: it is a thank-you, not a price.
A tip is entirely voluntary. It buys nothing — not more packs, not a bigger allowance, not faster generation, not priority support, not a different version of the product. Every pack is free whether you give or not, and nothing in this service can tell whether you have. Because it buys nothing it is a gift rather than a purchase.
Tips are voluntary and normally non-refundable. If you paid by mistake, contact support@parenteacher.app and we will review your request. This does not affect any rights you have under applicable law.
The tip link goes to a payment page that Stripe runs on our own Stripe account. No card number, bank detail or billing address ever reaches ParenTeacher, and nothing in the app records who gave; we can see tips in our Stripe account, as the privacy notice explains. We do count how many people followed the link, which is described in the privacy notice too.
You write three kinds of thing here: a nickname for your child, a description of what they are stuck on, and — if you report a problem with a pack — a few words about what is wrong with it. Those stay yours. You give us permission to use them to build and improve packs for you, and that is the whole of the permission: they are not published, not sold, not used to advertise anything, and not sent to the company whose language model writes the packs. The privacy notice explains exactly what is sent there instead.
Please do not put anything in those boxes that you would mind us holding. A nickname is genuinely enough — that is why we ask for a nickname rather than a name — and there is no field anywhere for a school, a date of birth, an address or a photograph, because none of those would make a better pack.
Print them, photocopy them, email them to your child’s teacher, use them with a whole class, keep them for the sibling coming up behind. We claim nothing over a pack we built for you and we ask for no credit.
The one thing we ask is that you do not sell them, or republish them as a product of your own — a pack you paid nothing for should not become something somebody else pays for. The software, the templates, the artwork and the name ParenTeacher stay ours.
Building a pack costs real money in machine time, and this is a small service. So: no scripts, no scraping, no opening accounts in bulk, no attempt to get round the per-month allowance or the guest allowance, and no probing at the parts of the service that are not yours. Do not use it to produce anything you would not want a nine-year-old to read.
If an account is doing any of that we may suspend or delete it, and where the behaviour is automated we may do so without warning. If we have an address for you, we will tell you what happened and give you a chance to get your work out first, unless doing so would let the abuse continue.
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that a pack will be generated within any particular time, or that using it will improve any child’s results. We will not be liable for lost work where the loss follows from something these terms told you about in advance — a guest account expiring, a browser’s cookies being cleared, or an account you deleted yourself.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. If you are using ParenTeacher as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page. If you are using it in the course of a business — a school, a tutoring practice — then to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us, which is nothing.
You can stop at any time, and you do not have to tell us. Deleting your account removes your children’s nicknames, every pack, every answer and report you gave us, and the account itself; the files you have already downloaded are yours and are unaffected. There is no notice period and no exit interview.
We may end your access if you break these terms, or if we close the service, on the notice described above.
We will change this page as the service changes. The date at the top is the date the words last moved. If a change materially reduces what you get or increases what you are agreeing to, and we have an address for you, we will email you about it rather than relying on you noticing.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections that apply under the law of your country of habitual residence.
The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable law to bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
You can write to support@parenteacher.app about anything on this page, including a request to see, correct or delete what is held about you. Two of those are also buttons in the app, and the buttons are faster: “Everything we hold” on your children’s page gives you a copy of all of it, and “Delete everything” removes it.
